Starting with the worst part: the script is completely empty and the humor is just stupid, devoid of any wit

I got a chance to see this movie at a preview screening and I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for it because it was really mediocre. Profanity is all over the place, which wouldn’t be a problem if there was at least some subtlety, but no, it’s just vulgarity for vulgarity’s sake, presumably aimed at pleasing a certain type of audience.

In short, there is not much to say about this French comedy

Of course, Michèle Laroque and Gérard Darmon are seasoned actors with nothing to prove, but what were they doing in this disaster? The pleasant surprise though is the lead actor, who I didn’t know before but gives a solid performance and adds some value to the film.

Another thing I liked was the opening scenes with the kidnappers, which were well shot, but unfortunately the rest of the movie didn’t live up to the hype
