Gary Oldman was originally rumored to be cast, but he was replaced by Kevin Kline
Story
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a documentary television journalist whose job is to expose the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series in many episodes, a medium telephoto lens.
Such a lens would not be able to focus on close subjects, such as a selfie with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine
Some of the negative reviews seem to suggest that the positive reviews are a “conspiracy,” incapable of grasping the simple concept that we all have different tastes. There are certainly plot holes, but the story hits hard when you realize that every character is a vile human being, and you see the horrible cruelty, ego, and hatred that festers in the human psyche.
The 7/10 rating reflects the plot holes
The film is well acted, and the story unfolds impressively. All of the events between Katherine and Jonathan were witnessed by their own eyes, yet the grieving mother described them as if she had seen every moment.
And then it became a reality on the show
But it is powerful, emotional, the wonderful way you find yourself feeling sorry for one of the characters, only to realize they are despicable. Worth watching (I am not a bot or a production company employee, if there were any conspiracy theorists here)…..(that is what THEY would say!!)
